I think I'm one of the few people who don't like Margherita's. To me their pizza is just average and nothing too exciting. I've had the typical cheese, pepperoni, and I even tried bbq once. None of them made me want to come back, and I'd rather pay a little more for Peace-a-Pizza if I'm on Main Street. I'll admit that they're different from Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and Domino's, but it's not the best New York style pizza I've ever had. Plus I saw a visit from the exterminator one afternoon, and that's never a good sign.
I was visiting from out of town, and being from the South, I had to have a decent slice while I was north of the Mason-Dixon line.
The guys at the gaming shop recommended them. The slices were pretty good, and the beer was cold. Good place for a quick bite.
Perfect pizza.
Not only does Margherita's have the best pizza anywhere, they have so many dang varieties. Where else can you grab a slice of pepperoni and pair it with mushroom and spinach white pizza... or any other of the 8 or nine kinds they have waiting for you.
I moved to Seattle a few years ago and have yet to find comparable pizza. I love the cheese, the sauce, the thin crust. Orgasm in slice form. I love you guys!
This is, in my humble opinion, the only place to get decent NY-style pizza in Newark. Walk in, grab a slice, chow down.
If you go to Grotto or Season's, you are an idiot.
These folks know what they're doing. Trust them.

When I think of Pizza in Newark, I think of Margherita's Pizza. There are a number of other local pizza places in town, but this is the one with the best pizza. The owners of the restaurant are Italian, and this may be the only pizzeria locally where you can hear folks bantering in Italian.
In addition to pizza, they have a selection of other Italian foods. The stromboli's are pretty good, too.
the best. i miss this pizza like i miss my family. perfect, thin, cheesy, tons of topping options, and the sauce is perfect- not too sweet or salty. their fries are to die for as well, nice and greasy. total pizza joint atmosphere filled with TVs and beer and loud college kids. love this place.
